B3.2 SHELTER

There needs to exist a shelter for those who need it most.

There is a want to design, implement and realize a space created for those without agency and/or means of self preservation. A place where no one can be turned away and no one can be kicked out. There is a want to desperately create a space for privacy, security, and personality.

A non profit, with a board of directors abiding to a strict Prime Directive to ensure that the goals, intentions, and execution work to further compassion and opportunity in the community.

One that functions off of federal grants and sponsors. One that works from grants so that money never becomes the reason to do or not do something; so that dollar bills never become the deciding factor on whether or not we can push farther or harder; so that money never forces us to turn someone away.

Too long have we left those without any agency be reliant upon solely themselves and closed off from interaction.

A space that cooperates with local entities and corporations to bring small parts of production into that space and help slowly integrate those with previous job deficiencies to full offsite employability in a dynamic range of fields.

A space that coordinates with the state medical program, which brings newly trained doctors from UNM to rural hospitals around the state, to facilitate two onsite physicians and similar programs to ultimately maintain permanent onsite physicians and therapists for daily and accessible positive health interactions.

A place that grows their own food in sustainable methods. Destroying the reliance on the outside for basic nourishment and simultaneously creating care and hopefulness for a space.

A space that educates.

A space that is the center mast of the community.

A space that aides people in feeling valuable.

A space that operates on its own; for the reason of growth.

There are no links attached with this. I am still searching for precedents. Need to figure out how to create a non profit. First step.
